The Phone Book

I went in to watch some football, had a few beers, didn't seem too expensive, had a meal as well which was fime, the staff were friendly enough and it was fullish, mostly with biker types though. I enjoyed my experience of The Borough, would definatley return.

Agree with tamboki. This is my local but I never go in it as never know whats going on. I like to watch the footy and would use this to do just that, but sometimes you go in and its on, other times it isnt. I''ve never seen anyone playing darts (so don''t know where this darts team comes from) and everytime I''ve been in, weekdays or weekends its been populated with 10 patrons at most all sat well away from each other, which, as its a large pub, makes it look very empty and depressing. I''ve never found the staff to be friendly here either, usually some young girl who can''t wait to pull your pint and throw your change at you so she can get back to texting on her mobile phone. Very dissapointing.

This pub had a refit some years ago however the pub is very expensive, they have not built a area for the smokers all they have put up is an umbrella. You do not see the landlady until throwing out time, the landlady however is a nice person but more effort should be put into the pub and lower the beer or put a cheep bitter in as the pub is very quiet at times.
